Recognizing Excellence in Radiation Therapy: Kaylee Riddle

November 9, 2021

National Radiologic Technology week is celebrated annually on the week of November 8th. The significance of the date is to commemorate the discovery of the x-ray by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen in November 1895. This continued celebration calls attention to the importance of recognizing the efforts of Radiation Technicians across the nation.

Every year RSA dedicates this week to highlight several Radiation Therapists who are today putting forth outstanding professionalism and align with RSA values of being Patient-Focused and Quality-Driven. Today we highlight Kaylee Riddle.

Kaylee Riddle has been a Radiation Therapist with GenesisCare (previously 21st Century Oncology) for 3 and a half years. Kaylee always knew she wanted to work in the medical field and originally started going to school for nursing. Kaylee was then ignited to change her course to helping people battle cancer after a close family friend was diagnosed.

If you have met Kaylee, you can see the level of compassion she has for her patients and coworkers. Kaylee says that the best part of her job is getting to work with and genuinely get to know her patients. “It isn’t just an 8-hour day.” Kaylee says, “Even if you can’t cure them, you get to know them mentally and see them every day.” Kaylee goes on to talk about how much she enjoys getting to know her patients and connecting with them. Thank you Kaylee, for all your hard work!
